The summer holidays are the perfect time to slow down, spend quality time with family and discover some of the wonderful places right on our doorstep. You don’t always have to travel far to enjoy a great day out – Yorkshire has so much to offer for children, families and adults alike.
That’s why White Red Eagle C.I.C. is launching a new summer series: “Holidays in Yorkshire”. 🌿
Throughout the series, we’ll be sharing ideas for interesting places to visit, family attractions, events and activities across Yorkshire, with a particular focus on places that may be useful and enjoyable for families living in our region.

🛝 Places for children to play and explore

🎉 Events and activities that adults can enjoy too
We’ll be sharing both well-known attractions and some lesser-known places that you may not have discovered yet.
Why are we creating this series?
As White Red Eagle C.I.C., we want not only to support and connect the Polish community, but also to share useful information that can make everyday life in the UK a little easier and more enjoyable.
We know that during the school holidays, one question often comes up:
“What can we do with the children today?” 😄
So, throughout the summer, we’ll be bringing you ideas to help you plan a family day out without necessarily having to travel far.
☀️ And we’re starting now!
Our first feature takes us to Cannon Hall Farm in Cawthorne, near Barnsley 🐑🐮 – a great option for a full family day out.
Our second feature looks at Wigfield Farm and Worsbrough Mill & Country Park, two nearby places that can easily be combined into one day of animals, nature, walking and local history. 🌿
